In a casual, interactive conversation over lunch, we’ll delve into Dawn's incredible journey and her commitment to investing in other entrepreneurs.

Dawn's Bio:
Dawn is one of the largest restaurant franchisees in America owning over 110 restaurants in her career. She bought her first from Denny’s at 23 and presently owns over 90 of their restaurants and employs over 3,000 people in her 7-state operation. In addition, Dawn invests in the futures of fellow female entrepreneurs through her organization.


She has been featured in countless radio interviews, podcasts, and publications, such as Entrepreneur, The Wall Street Journal, and Multi-Unit Franchisee. Dawn is featured in the preeminent documentary about investing in women, ‘Show Her The Money” released in 2023. The film educates and raises awareness to effect change to the statistic that only 2% of venture capital dollars go to women. In the film, Dawn's career is profiled and spotlights her activities as a rock-star female investor who invests in diverse women entrepreneurs with innovations that will change the world.


Dawn was a recurring judge on the web series “Entrepreneur Elevator Pitch” which provides entrepreneurs a chance to pitch their idea in a 60-second elevator ride to a board of successful investors who will help them take their business to the next level.


She has received numerous awards and is involved in many charities.


DAWN LAFREEDA is the largest female employer in San Antonio and owns one of San Antonio’s largest privately held companies.
